A New Town Centre is Coming to Sunbury

We’re delighted to share another exciting milestone for future Maplestone residents. A brand new, state-of-the-art town centre is coming to Sunbury.

Local property group SRL will deliver the $100 million development. The new centre will include a full-line supermarket, discount department store, specialty retailers, dining options and outdoor amenities.

Families will also enjoy undercover spaces, wetlands and open green areas. The design encourages people to shop, relax and spend time together. It will become a destination the community can enjoy for years to come.

What’s Next for Sunbury?

SRL has partnered with international architects OMA to design the precinct. Together, they will create a vibrant and pedestrian-friendly destination.

Wide public spaces and quality amenities will encourage visitors to stay longer. The centre will offer much more than a traditional shopping experience.

Maplestone Development Manager Angus Ramsay says Sunbury’s location continues to attract buyers.

“When complete, the centre will feature a striking façade and beautiful outdoor spaces. Visitors will enjoy wetlands, seating areas and generous green spaces.

“The layout encourages people to explore on foot. They can spend the day shopping, dining and enjoying everything the precinct offers.

“Following planning approval, we can now prepare for construction over the coming years. We’re excited to deliver something new for Sunbury. We’ll also work closely with local communities throughout the project,” he said.
