The best cafés in Sunbury, part 2

Continuing on the hunt for the best cafes to visit in Sunbury, here’s part 2 — and another 5 places to try for your coffee and brunch dates!

Krash and Co.

The light and airy Krash & Co. is welcoming to all with paleo, vegan, gluten-free and raw options. Their café menu has a Euro twist: Dutch baby pancakes, European omelettes, schnitzels with sauerkraut, schupfnudeln and kartoffelpuffer (German gnocchi and potato cakes) all make an appearance. Plus, they try to use as many local suppliers as possible to support the Sunbury community.

You can also book a platter or picnic box, perfect for a weekend treat. With your choice of antipasto, sliders and sweets, satisfy those cravings!

Find them located at 46 Evans St, Sunbury.

The Nook

For those magical times when brunch rolls into lunch rolls, and lunch rolls into drinks, the Nook is the place to be. It’s a café and a wine bar named after a local watering-hole and parkland, and has been a meeting place for locals for over 12 years.

Indulge in an irresistible all-day breakfast selection or treat yourself with grazing boxes, perfect for every occasion. Our top picks from their menu include the decadent triple-stacked lemon and blueberry buttermilk pancakes, perfectly complemented by a refreshing strawberry and watermelon slush.

The Nook is located at 111 Evans Street, in the heart of Sunbury.

Palistha Café

A hidden gem located along the bustling O’Shanassy St is Palistha Cafe. With outdoor seating on a lovely sunny day, try their speciality dish ‘Fire Engine’ of creamy scrambled eggs, or fuel up on their croissant benedict.

They’re up early baking every morning to bring you homemade pastries and treats – from golden jam doughnuts, banana bread or muffins to go with your morning brew.

Palistha Cafe is located at 77 O’Shanassy St, Sunbury.

The Gatehouse at Rupertswood

Looking for the perfect cafe in Sunbury, steeped in rich history? Nestled within the historic gatehouse of the Rupertswood Estate, Gatehouse Cafe is a family-run cafe with a picturesque backdrop. Adored by the locals, their irresistible vanilla slice is a local favourite, made fresh every day.

They also arrange a special high tea for special dates, an occasion not to be missed! Find them at 1 Macedon Street, Sunbury.

The Court Coffee Bar

The latest addition to Sunbury’s flourishing brunch scene, The Court Coffee Bar replaces the beloved Stringers Saba Cafe. Dog-friendly with a dedicated kids’ play area, stay for the welcoming service and start your weekend with a strong cuppa.
